Charles Sabourin has been a portrait artist for over 30 years.

He specializes in pastel, acrylic and oil portraits of people and animals. He his able to draw very realistic portraits.

His particularity in his drawings and paintings is the most important part of the people's face where he derives the essence of life and the unique personality of the individual: the eyes.

Charles is known around the world for his realistic oil and pastel portraits that are natural and very colourful at the same time.

In the past, he studied with the painter Joseph Meisner from witch he learned the basics of drawing and painting.

He worked in Hawaii, in New Orleans, in Provincetown, in St-Martin Island and in the Dominican Republic.

Charles also specialize in oil portraits on canvas, and animal portraits (equestrian, canine, feline, etc.)

He works from April to October, at Place Jacques Cartier in Old-Montreal. He is presently working, from his studio in Athelstan, Quebec.
